County Tyrone is located in Northern Ireland and borders counties Fermanagh, Monaghan, Donegal, Armagh and Derry. The county is well known for the gentle, undulating hills of the Sperrins – the largest uplands in Ireland. There are a number of walking and cycling routes to explore the Tyrone countryside, such as the Dungannon Park Trail, Carleton Trail, Gort Moss Walk and the Sperrins, which also have 12 circular maymarked cycle routes.
The angling enthusiast can enjoy some great fishing throughout Tyrone, with the Sperrin Region including the River Foyle – one of the country’s best locations for Salmon fishing. There is also Lough Ash near Strabane, Brantry Lough at Aughnacloy and Lough Lee near Castlederg.
